Destiny MVeterinary Technician
Destiny was born and raised in California and became a registered veterinary technician after graduating from Carrington College California in 2011. She now resides in Wichita with her husband, Colton, step-daughter, Adrien, and four dogs, Rico, Dodger, Lilly, and Chico. While Destiny enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, she has a particular interest in anesthesia and emergency medicine. She also likes caring for exotic animals, including her pet rats - which are trained to fetch the paper!

Kayla CClient Care Coordinator
Kayla is a small town girl hailing from Clearwater, KS. She always loved animals as a child, but she developed a special love for horses after learning to ride. Now, Kayla works on breaking and training colts when she has time and perfecting her barrel racing skills on her horse, Bling. She shares her home with her husband, Tyler, and their 2 dogs and 5 chickens. When not caring for the menagerie of pets, Kayla can be found reading a good book or cooking up a delicious dish for everyone.

Michelle (Micky) SVeterinary Technician
Micky has been working in the veterinary field for 13 years and brings a wealth of experience to Oakcrest Pet Hospital. Her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is performing dental cleanings on pets. She says, 'There is nothing better than scaling tartar and seeing the teeth become white again!' Micky has a soft spot for pets with special needs and has always been dedicated to giving these pets the best lives possible. In fact, she currently cares for her own cat, Beatle, who is completely blind. While Beatle does well finding his way around the apartment, Micky has worked on training him and making the place more accommodating to his needs.

Ashley AKennel Manager
Ashley's natural way with animals was apparent on her first day of work, as her gentle nature and calm voice put all the boarding pets at ease. It didn't take long for Ashley to transition into the kennel manager and eventually oversee doggie daycare at Oakcrest Pet Hospital. Her dedication and personal touch with the pets at Oakcrest is appreciated by all. When not caring for the pets at the hospital, she loves spending time with her fiancé, Paden, and handsome dog, Mac, and dreaming about future trips to Iceland and Ireland.

Sarah WVeterinary Technician
Sarah grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada, but her adventurous side led her to the United States as an adult. She met her husband, Carter, while living in the US and married him in October 2020 with a small Zoom ceremony in their home. Together, they enjoy playing video games and caring for their 4 dogs - Mickey, Layla, Hunter, and Artemis. While Sarah's main passion is caring for animals, she also has an artistic side to her. She loves sewing and creating new costumes (especially for Cosplay) and catching the latest episodes in chibi animation.

Bethany MVeterinary Technician
Bethany has always had a big heart. For many years, she volunteered her time with animal rescue organizations, including WAAL and KHS. Her caring and helpful nature made her the perfect fit as a veterinary technician at Oakcrest Pet Hospital. While Bethany loves all animals, she has a special love for pocket pets, as she has 4 rabbits and a rat of her own (on top of owning 2 dogs and 3 cats)! When not caring for her own critters, Bethany enjoys scrapbooking, visiting her family in Oklahoma, and spending time with her husband, Taylor, whom she married on Halloween 2021.

Joanna MVeterinary Technician
Joanna discovered her love for animals as a child when she saved an abandoned dog on a busy road. She said, 'It was in that moment that I knew I wanted to spend my life helping animals.' After completing some college in El Paso, TX, Joanna decided to move to Wichita to be closer to family and finish her schooling for a veterinary technology degree. She joined the team at Oakcrest Pet Hospital and is currently in the process of finishing her degree. Joanna is excited about her future as she recently got engaged to her fiancé, Nick, and purchased her first home. As if this wasn't enough, she also recently adopted 3 puppies - Sid, Marcel, and Flower - who keep her very busy!

Natalie GVeterinary Technician
Natalie's love for animals started at an early age when she asked her parents for a cow on her third birthday. They refused to give her one, and she didn't understand why! Years later, she was able to talk them into a pet, but she had to settle for a dog instead. Now Natalie gets to see all kinds of animals as she works as a veterinary technician at Oakcrest Pet Hospital. She joined the team after moving to Wichita from El Paso, TX. She is still getting used to the cooler temperatures in Kansas, but she says she has enjoyed all the new experiences here, including getting a new dog named Marvin!

Haylee WKennel Attendant
Haylee grew up in a military family and lived in different parts of Nebraska and Kansas. She graduated from Andover Central High School and decided to pursue her secondary education at Wichita State University. She is now studying history at the university with a goal of teaching at the college level in the future. She works part time at Oakcrest Pet Hospital as a kennel attendant, caring for boarding and daycare pets. When Haylee is not busy working or studying, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Hiro, and chow chow, Dee.

Juli SClient Service Representative
Juli’s tender heart and affection for animals is apparent when you meet her, but it might surprise you to learn that she grew up in a household without any pets. It wasn’t until she got her own pets that she realized her true passion and decided to switch careers to veterinary medicine. Juli joined Oakcrest Pet Hospital in 2022 and serves as one of our client service representatives. She currently shares her home with her husband, George, and their four cats, but she plans on making room for more, especially if she can find an English bulldog through a rescue group. When Juli isn’t taking care of all her furry friends, you will find her watching classic films, putting together jigsaw puzzles or playing Nintendo Switch.

Lydia VVeterinary Technician
Lydia was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA and attended San Joaquin Valley College where she earned her Veterinary Assistant Certification in 2020. She worked a few years at a small animal veterinary hospital and acquired some additional knowledge and new skills. In 2022, Lydia made a big decision and moved to Wichita, KS to support her boyfriend, Braden, who plays football for Friends University. Now, the two share a home together along with their leopard gecko, Fergie, and a one-eyed French bulldog named Benny. Lydia enjoys cheering on her boyfriend at football games and spending time cooking, coloring, and going for walks with her dog.

Carrie JClient Service Representative
Carrie’s warm, sweet personality is evident as soon as you meet her. She has a big love for animals and a friendly smile, and she works hard to make everyone feel comfortable when they visit Oakcrest Pet Hospital. Carrie was a client at Oakcrest before taking on the role as a client service representative in 2022. She had been working in the cosmetology field for a number of years when she found an opportunity to pursue her passion for animals. Carrie cares for her own 15 year-old corgi, Foxy, and enjoys spending her free time binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy, going to the lake, fishing with her husband, and going on vacations to Florida.

Cassidy CVeterinary Assistant
Cassidy is a Wichita native who recently graduated from Heights High School. She plans on attending WSU Tech in 2022 to pursue her degree in veterinary technology and hopefully specialize in large animal and exotic animal medicine. She joined the staff at Oakcrest Pet Hospital to gain experience for her future career while also assisting the technicians with laboratory tests and procedures. When Cassidy isn’t busy with school or work, she enjoys playing games with her family, watching movies with her boyfriend, and spending time with her dog, Bella.

Amelia HVeterinary Technician
Amelia grew up in a military family and lived in numerous places throughout her life, including North Carolina, California, Colorado, Germany, and Kansas. She developed a love for animals as a child and cited her pets as her reason for going into veterinary medicine. “I feel my passion is rooted in my love for my first dog, Scooter. He was with me for 14 years and got me through some rocky times!” Amelia began working at the Kansas Humane Society in 2015, and got additional experience in the veterinary field by volunteering at the ASPCA and working at the emergency clinic and Sedgwick County Zoo. She continued her education at WSU TECH and recently passed her national exam, making her a registered veterinary technician! She gives special thanks to her mom, dad, brother, and partner, Rob, for being an exceptional support system throughout the journey. She also appreciates her loyal cats, Frederick, Ruby, and Zepplin, for reducing her stress during the tough times.

Anika WClient Service Representative
Anika grew up around animals, having helped her family with a doggie daycare they owned for 15 years. She had plans to become a high school chemistry teacher after graduating from Wichita Heights High School, but her plans changed when she got an opportunity to work at a veterinary clinic and realized her true passion. Once Anika began working at a veterinary clinic, she quickly earned the title “Crazy Shepherd Lady” because she fell in love with every German shepherd she met. She currently owns 2 dogs, a German Shepherd mix and a Labrador/heeler mix, and 2 ornery cats. She enjoys traveling and has already visited 8 countries and numerous states. She is about to get a new traveling partner, as she recently got engaged and plans on getting married in April of 2025.
