  • Carrie J
    Lead Client Service Representative

    Carrie’s warm, sweet personality is evident as soon as you meet her.  She has a big love for animals and a friendly smile, and she works hard to make everyone feel comfortable when they visit Oakcrest Pet Hospital.  Carrie was a client at Oakcrest before taking on the role as a client service representative in 2022.  She had been working in the cosmetology field for a number of years when she found an opportunity to pursue her passion for animals.  Carrie cares for her own 15 year-old corgi, Foxy, and enjoys spending her free time binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy, going to the lake, fishing with her husband, and going on vacations to Florida.

    Client Service Representative

    Juli’s tender heart and affection for animals is apparent when you meet her, but it might surprise you to learn that she grew up in a household without any pets.  It wasn’t until she got her own pets that she realized her true passion and decided to switch careers to veterinary medicine.  Juli joined Oakcrest Pet Hospital in 2022 and serves as one of our client service representatives.  She currently shares her home with her husband, George, and their four cats, but she plans on making room for more, especially if she can find an English bulldog through a rescue group.  When Juli isn’t taking care of all her furry friends, you will find her watching classic films, putting together jigsaw puzzles or playing Nintendo Switch.  

  • Alyssa L
    Client Service Representative

    Alyssa has spent most of her life in the Veterinary Industry, in fact her father is a Veterinarian in Michigan who specializes in cats. She grew up in Michigan and has relocated to Wichita with her husband Caleb, five cats Bo, Mongojerry, Rumpleteaser, Cosmo, Clover, and a Red Eyed Crocodile Skink named Kaida. Alyssa is passionate about cosmetology, in fact you may see her with fun colors in her hair. She also enjoys dancing, learning to speak new languages, and watching movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas and How to Train Your Dragon.

    Client Service Representative

    Heather's passion for her family is unwavering. She currently lives in Wichita with her Family. Heather grew up with animals and developed close connections with her Dachshund mix Bella and Aussie Tyrion. Her favorite color is purple and her favorite drink is Dr. Pepper Zero. Heather loves to organize which makes her life more efficient, everything should have a place and a purpose. Heather and her late husband had three beautiful daughters together. She loves to watch the movie Remember the Titans as this movie is about overcoming adversity and coming together.

    Human Resources Manager/ Lead Veterinary Technician

    Destiny was born and raised in California and became a Registered Veterinary Technician after graduating from Carrington College California in 2011.  She now resides in Wichita with her husband, Colton, step-daughter, Adrien, five dogs, and a cat, Rico, Dodger, Lilly, and Chico, Nikko and Ralphie.  While Destiny enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, she has a particular interest in anesthesia. She enjoys spending time outdoors which mostly involves fishing with her dirt bike riding with her husband. 

  • Sarah Z
    Veterinary Technician

    Sarah grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada, but her adventurous side led her to the United States as an adult.  She met her husband, Carter, while living in the US and married him in October 2020 with a small Zoom ceremony in their home.  Together, they enjoy playing video games and caring for their 4 dogs - Mickey, Layla, Hunter, and Artemis.  While Sarah's main passion is caring for animals, she also has an artistic side to her.  She loves sewing and creating new costumes (especially for Cosplay) and catching the latest episodes in chibi animation.

    Veterinary Technician

    Bethany has always had a big heart.  For many years, she volunteered her time with animal rescue organizations, including WAAL and KHS.  Her caring and helpful nature made her the perfect fit as a veterinary technician at Oakcrest Pet Hospital.  While Bethany loves all animals, she has a special love for pocket pets, as she has 4 rabbits and a rat of her own (on top of owning 2 dogs and 3 cats)!  When not caring for her own critters, Bethany enjoys scrapbooking, visiting her family in Oklahoma, and spending time with her husband, Taylor, whom she married on Halloween 2021.

    Veterinary Technician

    Natalie's love for animals started at an early age when she asked her parents for a cow on her third birthday.  They refused to give her one, and she didn't understand why!  Years later, she was able to talk them into a pet, but she had to settle for a dog instead.  Now Natalie gets to see all kinds of animals as she works as a veterinary technician at Oakcrest Pet Hospital.  She joined the team after moving to Wichita from El Paso, TX.  She is still getting used to the cooler temperatures in Kansas, but she says she has enjoyed all the new experiences here, including getting a new dog named Marvin!

    Veterinary Technician

    Lydia was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA and attended San Joaquin Valley College where she earned her Veterinary Assistant Certification in 2020.  She worked a few years at a small animal veterinary hospital and acquired some additional knowledge and new skills.  In 2022, Lydia made a big decision and moved to Wichita, KS to support her boyfriend, Braden, who plays football for Friends University.  Now, the two share a home together along with their leopard gecko, Fergie, and a one-eyed French bulldog named Benny.  Lydia enjoys cheering on her boyfriend at football games and spending time cooking, coloring, and going for walks with her dog.

    Veterinary Technician

    Amelia grew up in a military family and lived in numerous places throughout her life, including North Carolina, California, Colorado, Germany, and Kansas.  She developed a love for animals as a child and cited her pets as her reason for going into veterinary medicine. “I feel my passion is rooted in my love for my first dog, Scooter.  He was with me for 14 years and got me through some rocky times!”  Amelia began working at the Kansas Humane Society in 2015, and got additional experience in the veterinary field by volunteering at the ASPCA and working at the emergency clinic and Sedgwick County Zoo.    She continued her education at WSU TECH and recently passed her national exam, making her a registered veterinary technician!  She gives special thanks to her mom, dad, brother, and partner, Rob, for being an exceptional support system throughout the journey.  She also appreciates her loyal cats, Frederick, Ruby, and Zepplin, for reducing her stress during the tough times.

    Veterinary Technician

    Cassidy is a Wichita native who recently graduated from Heights High School.  She plans on attending WSU Tech in 2022 to pursue her degree in veterinary technology and hopefully specialize in large animal and exotic animal medicine.  She joined the staff at Oakcrest Pet Hospital to gain experience for her future career while also assisting the technicians with laboratory tests and procedures.  When Cassidy isn’t busy with school or work, she enjoys playing games with her family, watching movies with her boyfriend, and spending time with her dog, Bella.

    Veterinary Technician

    Samm has always had a passion for animals, in fact when she turned 16 she became a Kennel Assistant at her first Animal Clinic in Derby and loved it. Samm has only worked in Veterinary Medicine, she started as a Kennel Assistant, became a Technician Assistant and then graduated from WSU as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2023. She currently resides in Wichita with her Boyfriend, two dogs Lennie, and Louie, and two cats Panko and Tuna. Samm loves Halloween, horror movies, puzzles, and video games.     Office Manager

    Misha grew up in Wichita and currently lives with her Husband and Son. She has always had a passion for helping animals. She has been working in the Veterinary Industry for 15+ years. Misha is passionate about staying fit, plants, and upcycling furniture. She has a natural talent for learning new things such as our Management Systems.

    Kennel Manager

    Haylee grew up in a military family and lived in different parts of Nebraska and Kansas.  She graduated from Andover Central High School and decided to pursue her secondary education at Wichita State University.  She earned her masters degree in history and has a goal of teaching at the college level in the future.  She works full time at Oakcrest Pet Hospital as the kennel manager, caring for boarding and daycare pets.  When Haylee is not busy working, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Hiro, and chow chow, Dee.

    Kayla grew up in a Military family in Tucson Arizona. She currently lives in Wichita with her Husband, 3 dogs, and 4 cats. Kayla is a certified Yoga instructor who loves to ride motorcycles. You may see her around town on her Harley Davidson. Kayla's hobbies consist of reading, hiking and crocheting. She is a self taught crochet artist.     Veterinary Technician

    Ever since Wednesday was little, she has chosen animal related fields to be in and has always felt she had a deep connection to them which compelled her to want to help animals. Wednesday enjoys reading, playing games, writing, watching true crime and relaxing during her off time. Wednesday was diagnosed in 2024 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, this has helped her understand herself and others around her better.     Kirsten was born and raised in Wichita. She has always loved animals. She currently lives in Wichita with her Husband and three dogs and is a member of the Wichita Symphony Chorus.     Kennel Attendant

    Johnnie grew up on the Hawaiian island of Maui as well as the Bay Area in California. Animals are one of the few things that he believes to be 100% good all of the time. They make him happy and he wants to give back to them. He wants to give them the love and care they deserve, as well as teaching others how to do the same. Johnnie's hobbies involve archery, gaming, binging TV series, guitar, and Piano. Interesting enough he once modeled as a Samurai for an afternoon in Japan.

    Riley has always wanted to pursue a job in the medical field, she thrives in environments where she gets to help others. Riley is particularly interested in Optometry and once did a presentation on color-blindness. Riley grew up in the Wichita area with her mother, four siblings, and her dog. Her favorite movie is the Nightmare Before Christmas. Riley is musically inclined, she plays multiple instruments and sings.

    Veterinary Technician

    Caila was born in Missouri where she lived until she was 11 years old. She then moved to Newton and then Valley Center where she resides with her Husband and daughter. Caila was always around animals growing up such as cats, dogs, iguanas, and guinea pigs. Before getting into veterinary medicine, she worked in retail and call centers. She was a competitive dancer, swimmer, and was in theatre for 4 years. Caila wants to be a voice for those without one. As a Swiftie, 'Never by so kind, you forget to be clever.     Veterinary Technician

    Chloe grew up in the Wichita area and currently lives in Valley Center with her boyfriend. She has had a love for animals since she was little and has had multiple pets throughout her childhood. Before she became a Veterinary Technician she worked for Animal Control as an Officer and a Kennel Technician at KHS. Her Hobbies include crafting, making jewelry and watersports. Chloe enjoys surfing at the lake and body boarding in the ocean. She loves Guinea Pigs and watching X-files.
